Flare and blow-out systems combustion calculations
Depending on the size of the process plants, flare or blow-out systems can have an overly complex design. In branched networks with several feeders, branched piping systems and different design cases, we can use internationally recognized software tools to analyse the system, identify weak points and plan expansions.
During the simulation of possible operating conditions such as general incidents, fire, power failures, etc., the process engineering parameters (flow velocities, pressure losses, flow rates, temperatures and pressures) are determined and serve as a basis for the evaluation of existing systems and their adaptations.
If flares are installed and media fluids are burned during expansion processes, the simulation of the combustion processes not only enables the thermal characteristics to be determined, but also allows emissions to be predicted. These calculations are also used in the design of combustion plants of all kinds.
